I love creating. Everything from mosaics, photography, painting, sewing and remaking old items into something new. I like unique things. Art is totally unique. Even a complete copy of someone elses art will not be an exact copy. it will still have a uniqueness all of it’s own. This particular mosaic represents my mother as mother earth with the 12 flowers growing out of her being my 11 brothers and sisters and myself.
Wow this is so beautiful! Art is very unique… and precious since the artist surely took a lot of time and love to do this.
Thank you.. I loved doing it.. It’s a very soothing hobbie.. 🙂

Beautiful! My friend and I were going to give making mosaics a go some years ago. I think we got as far as breaking up some old plates and things. I wonder what happened to all our colourful pieces… 🙂
You should give it a go. It’s a very soothing hobby to have 🙂
This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful mosaics I have ever seen. I have always wanted to try mosaics, but for some reason I’ve always been a little afraid of them. This is amazing, and you make it look so simple and elegant. I love this!

Courtney, give it a go. The hardest part of it is knowing when to stop lol.. My sons joked for a while that if they were scared of standing still in case I mosaiced them lol. I prefer glass mosaic rather than tile as the glass has a beauty all of it’s own.. and this particular piece was a mixture of tiffany mosaic which is the cut out shapes and normal mosaics. Thank you so much for your kind words.. 🙂
Absolutely, I will definitely have to try it out. My cousin does mosaic art and she always goes to thrift stores and finds these beautiful dishes and things that have chips and she breaks them to use. She does beautiful work, but this is just breathtaking. Maybe I will have her teach me a thing or two and give me some confidence with it. I hope you know that you have inspired me to give it a try! I will have to post it if I can figure it out and give you some credit for it. Thank you!
