2012 – It’s been a quiet year in a lot of ways but probably the most productive in a long time. On a serious and sad note, my second oldest niece has been taken seriously ill in the last few days so as a family, we are all praying for her to make a complete recovery. If you believe in the power of prayer and positive thought, I’d urge you to send those thoughts her way. She needs them. I believe in miracles. I hope you do too.
Visitors have been the highlight of my year, as per usual. People matter and it’s always so fantastic to have people come and stay. I didn’t get any photos of my cousin Ronda’s visit but that was a real treat as we don’t see each other as often as we’d like.. I think I’ve got most of the others who visited I captured on the camera and put them on here. Photography also played a huge part in my year and next year (tomorrow), I am enrolled in a photography course to hone my skills more. It is just so exciting. This blog gives me the chance to share my photography and my story with you all and for that I am so grateful to all of you who have chosen to be a witness to my life. You are all amazing.
Goodbye 2012 – Welcome 2013…. I’m heading into a friend’s in Sydney near the water where we can watch the fireworks on Sydney Harbour. It’s a very exciting time for me as I have always wanted to see the Sydney fireworks up close. I’ll try to get some good photos for you at midnight. Wherever you celebrate yours, have a great time and please stay safe.
In March I had a weekend where some friends came to visit. There is nothing like your friends to make your life the best it can be. They came from Canada, Perth, Victoria & South Australia… Was a great weekend!
One of my dearest friends, Annie became a Nanna for the first time. Even more exciting, she’s letting me share the gorgeous little man until I have some of my own lol. She’s also been up to visit a few times which has been extra special.
My old friend Daz came over from Perth West Australia, for a few days and it was so lovely to catch up with him, as it had been years. Him and Lachlan sat out on a dangerous cliff and let me take their photo.. Crazy people lol. Stay longer next time Daz 🙂
Snow.. its the middle of Spring and we get a huge downfall of snow.. It was so exciting. Lachlan had to build his very first snowman.
Two new things are born.. I started my blog, which I’m loving and I hope you are too.. and Lachlan started his new business, Purple Sky Productions . Very exciting times!
Meet my gorgeous cousin Wendy, who also happens to be one of my lifelong best friends… (we were born 3 weeks apart) I had the privilege of photographing her beautiful daughter Emma’s wedding. What a gorgeous day it was too.
A week later, I got to photograph my gorgeous niece Ebony and her new husband Wayne’s wedding.. (That’s my son Stuart you can see in the pink shirt.) Had another fantastic day. Had a ball!
And the biggest highlight of the year goes to Stuart & Sarah, my son and new daughter in law to be. They have had a huge year, getting engaged and buying their first home. I’m thrilled for them both.. and one very proud mum… Next year I get to be mother of the groom. Very exciting times!
From my family to yours, I wish you all a very happy new year. May 2013 bring love, laughter, health and happiness to you all. I’m looking forward to the new year. Exciting things are afoot.. I can’t wait to share the journey with you.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind.. Should auld acquaintance be forgot for Auld Lang Syne. We’ll take a cup of kindness yet for the days of Auld Lang Syne.
Happy New Year.. Livvy 🙂
