In Australia, our home, as our national anthem suggests, is certainly girt (surrounded) by sea. I grew up near the sea. At my high school, we did some lessons by the sea. We learned to swim in the sea. We spent most weekends in summer at the sea. And in winter, we walked along the sea shore. It is certainly a huge way of life for many Australians. I snapped this photo near Kiama in NSW. A beautiful moment between a father and son…. just simply enjoying the sea!

Your photo of the sea is beautiful. I can’t believe the water is so BLUE 🙂 I grew up around the water on the beach in Florida and was on the beach all the time. Now I’m on the beach in Texas and I think you’ve got both beat 😉 Thanks for stopping by and liking my posts!
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I appreciate the time you took to stop by. May your day be filled with joy and peace.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Thank you.. You have a lovely blog 🙂
Fantastic shot! Tells a great story and the blue of the sea is stunning. Nice composition too. Thanks for stopping by my blog today, much appreciated.
Thank you.. and you’re more than welcome.. Great blog 🙂
what brilliant blue water! I am landlocked and have only seen the sea a couple times, but it was never this pretty. It always seemed to be raining, cold and cloudy when i was there.
We are so lucky here with our beaches.. This was taken down at Kiama in New South Wales on the most glorious sunny day.. The sky was so blue as was the water.
Australia is one of my dream vacation spots to visit. maybe someday.
If you get over here.. I’d be thrilled to show you my neck of the woods 🙂
I will take you up on that!
Lessons by the sea….now those would be moments to remember!
Tina, it was amazing.. There is nothing like getting a group of 13 – 14 year olds to answer maths questions by rewarding it with a quick dip in the cool ocean on a hot day. Once we’d answered the questions, we could run in for a quick swim.. No wonder I have such wonderful memories of my school years 🙂
And here I sit tonight, listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach only 2 minutes walk away – loving it 🙂
I do miss it Kimmy.. Will have to come visit you soon and enjoy the sound 😉
I was born and bred in Kiama Downs!!
I grew up near Geelong Victoria but now live in the Blue Mountains.. I went to Kiama for a few days.. Just a beautiful part of the country. You’re lucky to have grown up round there 🙂
The Blue Mountains is a great place. We had our honey moon there.
