It’s after midnight and I’ve just finished a couple of TAFE assignments so am having a quick cuppa and a brief blog before bed. You see I’m rapidly running out of time before I leave for my trip of a lifetime. I start my journey on Friday afternoon and fly out on Sunday so I’m really running out of time now. I have to go into the city tomorrow and then have TAFE Tuesday and Wednesday.
I haven’t packed yet. That doesn’t bother me as I’m used to packing in a short period of time so that’s not stressing me. The fact that I’ll be away from home and school for 3 weeks is stressing me a bit more. I have to catch up on everything before I go then will have a huge catch up when I get home. Today, instead of packing, I cleaned my laptop files up so that I had everything ready to be able to upload photographs while I’m travelling. That might not seem a priority to everyone but it definitely is to me.
Thursday will be stupid day. If anyone wants any sense out of me on Thursday, they are dreaming. I’m going to be racing around, packing, cleaning, making last minute research and everything else that I’ve put off until now. I need more hours in the day..
So, what do you do when you are completely running out of time? You learn a new effect and you start to muck around with photographs. Okay so I’m avoiding packing, I know but I usually get everything finished in time.. I would love to be one of those people who are packed 2 weeks before a journey.. or ones that can prioritise their workload… but I’m not. I like to think it’s because I have an artistic mind but I’m kidding myself lol. Truth is…. I’m just a procrastinator who works well under pressure.
This photograph is my attempt at putting more hours in the day. Lots and lots of hours around the clock.. Of course, in the time it took me to actually make it, I could have packed, spring cleaned the house and finished a whole holiday itinerary… ahh well.. at least it distracted me from worrying about the important stuff for a few hours lol.
Happy making time fly… Livvy
Happy and safe travels to you!
This is an awesome image indeed, seems well worth the time to learn how to create it.
I know exactly how you feel when it comes to packing. I’m such a procrastinator that I literally dream about leaving on trips with minutes till my departure and I have nothing packed. Then I end up having all this loose stuff and things coming undone while I’m trying to leave (not too far from reality). One year I bought the camera I used on my trip on my way to the airport…lol.
I look forward to seeing you pics and good job getting your files cleaned up!
Cheers!
