This photo, for me, was the beginning. It was the beginning of a fantastic day. It was early morning in Blackheath and I’d gone out with 2 TAFE friends to try to shoot a sunrise. No beautiful colors that day were to be had, but out of the blue, these rays came out to greet us. Up until that moment, I wanted to give up on photography as I hadn’t taken a single good photograph on my DSLR. I was ready to admit defeat and throw in the towel and go back to my point and shoot camera. Then suddenly, these angel rays (my friend’s name for them) came out to give me encouragement and make me realise I really could do this.
So this photo is the beginning of a new day and the beginning of taking a decent photograph. It’s probably always going to be a favorite of mine because of the sentimental value.
