And she felt the fog lift as she finally decided that her imperfections and mistakes did not make her any less of a beautiful person…..Unknown
I always seem to start every blog on here lately with, “I know I haven’t been on here much” and today’s is no different. It’s been an incredibly busy few months with lots of exciting stuff happening. Probably too much to go into right now, but I thought I’d share some wonderful news with you.
A few weeks ago, I entered “Out from the Mist” which is a photographic representation of mental health. As most people will know, photography is the glue which holds this woman’s broken soul together… and I have had many struggles with mental health due to a very traumatic life.
Over 150 photographers from 20 different countries entered and I have been lucky enough to have had 2 of my images chosen to be exhibited. I’m so very humbled to have been chosen as the work submitted was unbelievably beautiful and poignant. The exhibition will take place in Brisbane throughout October (mental health month) and then in the new year, travel to Geelong (my old home town). I’m uber excited to know that my work will be on display in Geelong so that friends will have a chance to see it.
I’m thrilled to be heading to Brisbane next week to be at the official opening night. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to catch up with a few lovely friends while I’m there but it will be a fairly fleeting visit as I am speaking at a function on the Friday night, so it’s home to prepare for that.
This is one of the two images chosen.
Happy coming out of the mist… Livvy
