Slubberdegullion – A slovenly or slobbering person.  A word used in England around 1650.

Today’s word is Slubberdegullion.. Doesn’t it just roll off the tongue?  And isn’t it such a descriptive word?  Without knowing what the word is, you can almost guess it. I am loving some of these words that time forgot.. I am definitely going to start using them.

Today, I can not even consider being a slubberdegullion though.  To quote Truvy from Steel Magnolias, today I will be busier than a one armed paperhanger.  You see I have an exhibition opening tonight. From Fractured to Fairytale opens tonight at Chrissie Cotter Gallery in Camperdown at 6pm.  It’s the story of my life told as a fairytale.  It features my fine art photography as well as sculpture and music.  I’m hugely excited.

It’s taken on a whole new personality this time around.  Every venue is different so each time it is shown it will adapt to suit the venue.  This time around it’s more open and the specific chapters aren’t as delineated as they were last time but I’m absolutely thrilled with it.

So, no slubberdegullion behaviour for me today..  this is just a quick note before I get to work.  Enjoy the day and the word.. (try to use it today lol)

Happy days…..Livvy xxx

PS.. This clipping is from both the Inner West Times and the Inner West Courier this week..  Does this make me a celebrity?? lol
